Diving
in the Pacific Ocean offers a wide range of biodiversity in
marine flora and fauna.
In the Ixtapa-Zihuatanejo area
of Guerrero, Mexico we have around 35 good sites for diving
(click
here to see map).
Underwater temperature and
visibility are factors that vary constantly throughout the
year making it possible to find that visibility may range
from around 15 ft. (5 meters) up to about 120 ft. (40 meters),
and water temperatures may range from around 60° F (16°
C) up to about 95° F (36° C).
Among the types of marine life
that you may see in our waters are octopus, lobsters, sea
turtles, whale sharks, manta rays, seahorses, dolphins, whales,
sea urchins, starfish, rays, conchs, corals, sea cucumbers,
puffer fish, flounder, moray eels, moorish idols, and stone
fish... as well as a great diversity of colored fish from
coral reefs and tropical waters.
